NIA Aklan-Capiz IMO, under the leadership of Division Manager Engr. Lorena B. Sioco, conducted a blessing of the Water Management Technician (WMT) Office at Brgy. Tabangka, Numancia, Aklan last December 1, 2021.
The blessing of the office was officiated by Rev. Fr. Vincent P. Cahilig, Parish Priest of St. Joseph the Worker parish of Numancia, Aklan.
The office shall be a venue for the institutional development programs of NIA ACIMO specifically in Aklan River Irrigation System West Side.
On October 15, 2021, the National Irrigation Administration-Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office reported the rehabilitation of Jalaur River Irrigation System (RIS)-Extension- Lateral G complete, under the Repair/Rehabilitation of Existing National Irrigation System (RRENIS) fund.

Engr. Ma. Elena T. Basco was officially appointed as the new Acting Division Manager of Antique Irrigation Management Office (AIMO) during the Management Turn-over Ceremony held at the AIMO Farmers' Training Center in San Jose, Antique last November 29, 2021.
Through Memorandum No. 180 s. 2021 from the NIA Administrator, she replaced Engr. Andres Bonie O. Tuala, who served as the Officer-In-Charge of AIMO for almost 2 years.
Two Solar Powered Pump Irrigation Systems were turned over to the Irrigators’ Associations on November 17, 2021. The first recipient was Gibon Irrigators’ Association at Brgy. Gibon, Nabas, Aklan and PUJAMA Irrigators’ Association, Inc. at Brgy. Mabilo, New Washington, Aklan.

NIA Regional Office VI conducted an Environmental Assessment (EA) and EA Tools Training on Nov. 11-12, 2021. The training introduced different EA tools that can be applied during the pre-construction, construction, and abandonment phase of project implementation. The EA activities range from more focused and project-specific Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) to Cumulative Impact Assessments to the designated Pollution Control Officers (PCOs) of each IMOs, including PCOs of JRMP II and Regional Office.
In compliance with the conditions stipulated under the issued Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) No. ECC-R6-1612-0012-5020, the National Irrigation Administration - Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office conducted Air and Noise Sampling Activity last October 26 and 27, 2021, held near the Bayuyan Elementary School located at Brgy. Bayuyan, President Roxas, Capiz, 800-meter away from the proposed Dam axis.
NIA Regional Office VI joined the 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on November 11, 2021 as mandated by OCD Memorandum No. 689 s. 2021.
The Regional Office was joined by the Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office (IGIMO) in observance of the NSED 2021. Together, they practiced the "Duck, Cover, Hold" and organized evacuation.
