ENGR. BASCO REPORTS ANTIQUE IMO ACCOMPLISHMENTS DURING FLAG RAISING CEREMONY AT EBJ FREEDOM PARK

Antique IMO led the weekly Flag Raising Ceremony at the EBJ Freedom Park on September 5, 2022. In attendance were Antique Governor, Hon. Rhodora J. Cadiao, Vice Governor, Hon. Edgar D. Denosta and employees of the different Provincial Agencies in Antique.

“In my nine (9) months as Acting Division Manager, we have already accomplished a lot. 79 Irrigators Association (IAs) in the Communal Irrigation System with outstanding loans and 2,050 farmers in the National Irrigation System have already applied for condonation of loan amortization and payment of Irrigation Service Fee (ISF), respectively. This means that dues of the IAs and the farmers will be written off from NIA’s Book of Accounts. We have intensified our campaign for condonation as mandated by RA 10969 or the Free Irrigation Service Act (FISA). This will be a big help for our farmers. Project construction both in the CIS and NIS are ongoing. The completion of these projects will ensure efficient and effective water delivery to our farmers. Another accomplishment we have is the completion of the renovation of our Main Building. This has inspired NIA Employees to work hard and achieve beyond what is expected,” Engr. Ma. Elena T. Basco, Division Manager said in her speech.

Governor Cadiao congratulated Engr. Basco for leading the Agency to deliver irrigation services to the farmers. She likewise pledged her support for irrigation development.

Engr. Basco’s speech was also aired by Station DYKA on September 6, 2022.
