Engr. Ma. Elena T. Basco was officially appointed as the new Acting Division Manager of Antique Irrigation Management Office (AIMO) during the Management Turn-over Ceremony held at the AIMO Farmers' Training Center in San Jose, Antique last November 29, 2021.
Through Memorandum No. 180 s. 2021 from the NIA Administrator, she replaced Engr. Andres Bonie O. Tuala, who served as the Officer-In-Charge of AIMO for almost 2 years.

Previously, she served as Supervising Engineer A at the Regional Office VI and headed the Interim Special Projects Office that facilitated the Feasibility Study and Detailed Engineering Design phases of all special projects of the region.
Engr. Basco is not a stranger to Antique IMO. During the Irrigated Rice Production Enhancement Program (IRPEP) in Antique, she was the Regional Focal Person and she stayed at the AIMO office to facilitate the activities of the program from 2010 to 2015.
"NIA Antique, I'm back in your arms again," she said in her speech.
Engr. Basco was grateful for the presence of the his former bosses and friends, her 30 strong staff from Negros Occidental who took their time to travel to Antique to witness the turn-over, and her colleagues who supported her new achievement.
Regional Manager A, Engr. Rory F. Avance encouraged the employees that despite the changes in management, they should remain loyal to the agency and not to the person. He also encouraged the AIMO staff to give Engr. Basco their utmost support the same way they have given their previous heads.
Antique IMO witnessed four (4) Management Turn-overs in the past 3 years. Engr. Tuala shall return to his post in the Regional Office VI.
