• Several IAs under IMT Contract of different National Irrigation Systems keep on securing what is best for the farmers. The IMT Contract states that every IA who have undergone the said contract should maintain a clean canal in order for unobstructed water delivery.

  • Through the collaborative efforts of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, Local Government Unit of Valladolid together with Barangay Mabini and Mabini Palaka Irrigator's Association, the road surfacing of irrigation service road in Brgy. Mabini, Valladolid moved forward on August 3 to 6, 2021. Even under the provisions of the IATF on Covid-19, the efficiency of every worker was not compromised.

  • Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office implements a weekly garbage patrol and hauling of garbage that obstruct the canals under the Aklan River Irrigation System East Side. This activity is conducted every Friday as agreed between NIA and the Irrigators’ Associations. NIA provides dump trucks while some IA and NIA personnel from the operations and maintenance section haul and dispose the garbage.

  • Irrigators’ Association leaders of Aklan River Irrigation System (ARIS) East and West Side, together with NIA personnel held a Mid-Season Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Conference at Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office, Linabuan Sur, Banga, Aklan conducted last August 31, 2021. During the meeting, IA presidents and NIA, represented by Engr. Julieta E. Gallardo, Engineering and Operations Chief, reviewed the dry crop performance and implementation of IAs’ Maintenance plans.

  • NIA Antique IMO continues to fast-track construction of 549-m bench flume of Sibalom-San Jose Irrigation System at Sibalom, Antique despite the threat of the Delta Variant in the province. As of August 20, 2021, 300 meters of bench flume was already constructed. This is 70.07% actualbproject accomplishment against the 61.63% target. Construction started on June 9, 2021 and is targeted to be completed on November 5, 2021.
