• In pursuit of good camaraderie among employees to achieve the goals and objectives of the agency, the NIA-Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office, headed by Division Manager A, Engr. Randy C. Alipis gathered the employees for a Team Building activity on April 4-5, 2022, in NIA Compound, Brgy. Tacas, Jaro, Iloilo City.

  • The Igbangcal PIP Phase 2 is one of the proposed projects for CY 2022 funded under the Small Irrigation Project (SIP). The project, which will be implemented through Forced Account Works has a total budget of Php 3,000,000.00. It is targeted to generate an additional 7 hectares of service which will benefit 10 farmers. The project is located at Igbangcal B, Tobias Fornier, Antique. The beneficiary of said project is the Igbangcal Tobias Fornier IA.

  • On March 30-31, 2022, NIA Region VI, with representatives from the Regional Office and Irrigation Management Offices, conducted a Crisis Management and Communication Workshop at Diversion 21 Hotel, Mandurriao Iloilo City.

    Ms. Rhoda Garzon Campillan, Academic Supervisor of the AB Communication Program of the University of San Agustin, served as the Resource Person who helped the NIA VI Crisis Management Team come up with their Crisis Management and Communication Plan for 2022.


    On March 28-30, 2022, a Project Implementation Review and Planning Workshop for CY 2022 was conducted by NIA Region 6 to identify the constraints, issues and problems encountered during previous year project implementation and to prepare a strategic plan to avoid the occurrence of the same in the current year at Sea Garden Resort, Leganes, Iloilo.

  • The National Irrigation Administration (NIA), officially commenced the construction of Cabano Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (SRIP), the biggest irrigation project of the NIA Region VI in the Province of Guimaras.
