• Irrigators’ Association leaders of Aklan River Irrigation System (ARIS) East and West Side, together with NIA personnel held a Mid-Season Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Conference at Aklan-Capiz Irrigation Management Office, Linabuan Sur, Banga, Aklan conducted last August 31, 2021. During the meeting, IA presidents and NIA, represented by Engr. Julieta E. Gallardo, Engineering and Operations Chief, reviewed the dry crop performance and implementation of IAs’ Maintenance plans.

  • NIA Antique IMO continues to fast-track construction of 549-m bench flume of Sibalom-San Jose Irrigation System at Sibalom, Antique despite the threat of the Delta Variant in the province. As of August 20, 2021, 300 meters of bench flume was already constructed. This is 70.07% actualbproject accomplishment against the 61.63% target. Construction started on June 9, 2021 and is targeted to be completed on November 5, 2021.

  • The National Irrigation Administration, Iloilo-Guimaras Irrigation Management Office has ten (10) solar pumps projects amounting to 28.6Million allotted for the provinces of Iloilo and Guimaras. These were funded under the Establishment of Ground Pump Irrigation Project or EGPIP. These projects will serve the farmers of the municipalities of Banate, Batad, Dingle, Leon, Miag-ao, Mina, San Miguel, and Sara in the province of Iloilo, and the towns of Nueva Valencia and Sibunag in Guimaras.

  • NIA Antique IMO personnel and the farmers of San Rafael, Patnongon Communal IA, Inc gathered for a Resource Mapping Meeting under the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) on August 14, 2021.

    EPAHP aims to improve the lives of Filipino people as one of the banner programs of the Inter- Agency Task Force on Zero Hunger, which intends to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture in the Philippines.

  • Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) held its 2nd Convergence Meeting on August 17, 2021 to finalize the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) among government agencies.
